The Biggest Loser Has No Surprises In New Season

This may be one of those reality shows that is on its way out. I’ve loved watching The Biggest Loser ever since it came on NBC. But honestly, even though they’ve tried to change the show up and make it more interesting, it’s getting old and tired for me. And I must not be the only one, I keep hearing the same thing from long time Loser watchers.

Sure, when the show ditched Carolyn for Allyson, that was by far the smartest move they could have made. Sorry, don’t want to sound mean, but can you really host a weight loss reality show when you need to lose a few pounds yourself? I think not!

Also, having families and couples themed seasons were nice as well. I particularly liked the “mini” season format that was used a few years ago. I guess that was only an experiment because they no longer have those. But they were generally quicker and you didn’t have to wait through the mundane and boring crap.

One thing I hear many people complain about The Biggest Loser TV show is how they do their commercials. Whenever they come back from a commercial break, it seems the first five minutes are recapping what happened the last 5 minutes before the commercial break. Kinda like adding fluff to the show because they have no original footage to add. I dunno, but I know many people who are not happy with the show running like that.

Another thing I hear a lot of complaints about is how Jillian Michaels has seemed to become more “drama” queen than personal trainer. A lot of people, myself included, love Jillian. It just seems that she thinks she has to do this over dramatized acting gig to make people like her. It’s boring and comes off as fake if you ask me! I’ll continue to watch The Biggest Loser anyway, at least for this year. But I’m beginning to find that I have a lot more stuff I need to do during the time frame when they’re on TV!
