Male Secondary Infertility?

Before we talk about male secondary infertility we must first discuss in depth about secondary infertility in general. In this article we will talk about the causes of secondary infertility, the treatments (both holistic and modern) that you can use, and also the emotional cost because of this condition. This is not a very popular condition because of its very nature. Most people have heard or maybe have someone close to them inflicted by infertility problems but not many people have heard or even know about secondary infertility.

Secondary infertility is insidious in nature because the couple that had it (they might not even know they have this condition known as secondary infertility) seems to be healthy and happy family. Why do I say this? Because the couple has children! How can they be infertile if they have children? The answer is that they’re infertile because they cannot get more children anymore. No matter what they try, it seems to be futile. They do what normal couples do like taking the ovulation temperature chart, and trying to conceive at fertile times.

Now, what is male secondary infertility? It’s exactly what the name suggest, the father having problem with producing high quality sperm in big enough volume to make the mother pregnant. It can be caused by various factors and most doctors suspect that it has to do with aging and maybe even lower testosterone. (as this will reduce the sperm count) Quality of the diet also play a big factor as its important to be healthy to produce enough sperm.

The treatment that is available for male secondary infertility is also huge and diverse. There’s everything from modern medical treatment like drugs and surgery to holistic treatments like yoga, exercising, herbs and even acupuncture. Choosing the treatment is a matter of preference and I suggest that you follow the advise of your doctor. But do your own research as doctor sometimes can be biased to certain treatments.
