Feel Full On A Diet

When dieting, you can feel less than satisfied.  Often, you will feel hungry.  One way to combat this problem is to focus on eating negative calorie foods.  Another is to ingest a natural appetite supressant to stop hunger in its tracks.

Negative calorie foods
take more calories to be digested than the number of calories they supply.  Your body also has to work much harder to get the nutrients out of negative calorie foods.  Because the foods result in a calorie loss, you can eat as much as you want.  You can stay full on your diet.

Some negative calorie vegetables include:  zucchini, celery, cucumber, chicory, asparagus, spinach, radish, onion, garlic, lettuces, broccoli, carrots, cabbage, and green beans.    Some fruits are considered to be negative calorie foods.  Apples, cranberries, oranges, peaches and even watermelon fall into this category, as do blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, and tomatoes.

In addition to requiring more calories than they provide, the negative calorie foods listed here also provide a good source of fiber.  Fiber is truly a natural appetite suppressant.  Because fiber causes you to feel full, you no longer feel hungry.  Additionally, the fibers found in some negative calorie foods like celery and zucchini, take longer for the body to digest.  This allows you to feel fuller longer.

Oatmeal, which is very high in fiber, could be considered a natural appetite suppressant.   Old-fashioned oatmeal will be far better than instant oatmeal because it hasn’t been processed as much.   Also, your blood sugar level will not be altered radically as you digest oatmeal.

Soup can also be used as a natural appetite suppressant.  A low calorie vegetable soup will provide you with a full feeling, as well as additional fiber.  Avoid soups with cream bases, as those will simply add calories.

Finally, don’t forget the most simple of natural appetite suppressants.  Water is vital to your weight loss plan.  Thirst can often be confused with hunger.  One good tip is to drink a full glass of water before eating any snack.  Keeping yourself hydrated with help you feel full.   It will also allow the extra fiber you are eating to help you to do the same.
