Beginners Preparation For A Splendid Fake Tan

Many things can go wrong if you are a beginner applying your first fake tan. Neon hands and feet are common results of amateur tanning. Ignorance and hastiness will never get you anywhere especially with artificial tanning. Learning just a few things will help you get the best glowing results possible. For starters you will need the right product for your skin. You may have noticed the many different selections of tanning creams, lotions, sprays and gels. Learn a bit more about what makes them different, their ingredients and whether you prefer safe organic creams.

Now that you have found your ideal sunless tanning product there are still a few things you need to do. Exfoliate profusely, you can never overdo exfoliation . This can never be stressed enough before any kind of fake tanning. It will have to be done on the same day of your tanning application. This is what you have to concentrate on the most. You can do it with help from non greasy body washes, salt water and a good body loofah. A Moroccan bath or “hamam” would be a great idea if done in the morning just be sure to keep your skin residue free.

Waxing your body will need to be done a day ahead so the DHA doesn’t sink into your pores and leave you spotted.  Shaving can be done the same day you exfoliate and tan. Once your skin is pure and clean it will feel very soft and it will be ready to absorb a beautiful tan.

Now you are at the point where your body is ready but you will have to pay close attention to commonly problematic areas that often go awfully wrong. Knees, elbows as well as the hands and feet should be covered with a moisturizer or a specially formulated barrier to keep from over darkening. Most importantly, don’t forget to wear latex gloves if you are applying your own fake tan. Now you are completely ready to expect a perfect fake tan.
