Nutritional information that you see on an Applebees menu may not be exactly what it portrays. It seems the some of the information might have been off by as much as double what it said particularly some of the Weight Watchers items. It appears that independent lab testing resulted in findings that were double what Applebees nutritional information was providing.
Unfortunately for Applebees this has gotten them into a bit of trouble.. There was at one point a pending lawsuit though presently we have been unable to determine what the final outcome of the lawsuit was. Keep in mind that no matter what the lawsuit it will be up to the courts to decide.
Applebees is making an effort to provide nutritional information that is accurate and to provide that information on as many of it’s menu items as possible.
Let take a look at a couple of the menu items you will find at Applebees and the their nutritional information.
The Chicken Quesadilla Low Fat
This low fat tasty chicken dish is a chipotle flavored chicken that has been smothered in several types of non-fat cheeses. Along with the cheese mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, and jalapenos have been added.
This low fat dish has 14 grams of fat with 0 grams of the bad saturated fat. The sodium content is very little and the carbs are only 89 grams. This dish has 65 grams of protein. The dish does have 742 calories of which 126 come from fat.
In closing just be aware that no matter whether or not you want to know the nutritional information of what you are eating when you dine out it is available if you want it. Applebees does try hard to provide the correct nutritional information on it’s dishes and as far as I am concerned the whole lawsuit is just trivial and if it has not been thrown out it should be dismissed.
